Grigol Rubakidze University was established in 1992 in Tbilisi, Georgia. It is one of the oldest non-governmental (private) HG educational institutions in Georgia, offering programs and courses in social sciences in both English and German, and runs undergraduate programs in Law, Public Administration and Politics, English Philology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Psychology, Sociology, Finance, Tourism and Business Administration, Business Administration (Georgian-German Program), Marketing and Management, all programs are accredited by the National Center for Enhancing the Quality of Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The university has been renamed in honor
of the Georgian poet and thinker Grigol Robakidze.
