Bellingham is the largest city of Whatcom County in the U.S. state of Washington. It has over 80,000 residents, making it the thirteenth-largest city in the state. The city is known for its easy access to outdoor recreation in the San Juan Islands and North Cascades as well as proximity to the cities of Vancouver and Seattle. The waterfront area is being redeveloped into an attractive space, with hotels, condos, shops, and restaurants being built on site.
