In the central region of Bahrain lies the city of Riffa. Though the city is not the largest in population, it is the largest in area which accommodates a rapidly-growing population. The city is divided into eastern and western areas, with the eastern section consisting primarily of commercial and financial districts and the western section consisting mostly of residential neighborhoods. gh Riffa is largely a progressive, modern city with all sorts of shopping venues, parks, and gardens. A quick fifteen minute trip in either direction brings visitors to some of the best beaches in the country in Zallaq and Sitra, and the capital city of Manama is just 30 minutes to the north. After a day at the beach, there's no better way to relax than by returning to Riffa, sampling some of the delicious street food found in the western part of the city, and sitting at a cafe admiring the iconic Riffa Clocktower.
